Smart Host is a B2B SaaS platform in the hospitality industry. We offer hotels a powerful yet incredibly easy cloud solution to put their guest data to work. We collect guest data from hotels and guests directly, clean and enrich it, while treating the guest’s privacy with the respect it deserves. All of this combined with data analysis takes our client’s guest communication and marketing efforts to a new level. Our typical clients are not necessarily tech savvy, so it’s on us to skyrocket them into the digital marketing age, by simplifying the experience to the maximum through great usability.

As Senior Product Manager you are the product owner! You are the link between our users, our designers, our developers and our sales team. It is your responsibility, to balance these four groups. You are in charge of the development roadmap and it is your responsibility that our users love our product and get real value out of it.
Tasks:
- Product ownership – you are part of the management team and the product’s advocate, you manage and optimize product ideation and implementation
- Product development – you develop the product vision and functionalities and bring your ideas to life by directing our UI/UX designers
- Usability – you ensure that our product users enjoy using Smart Host, conduct extensive user tests, guarantee for an optimal product-market fit, coordinate the development of training materials and customer on-boarding processes
- Development roadmap – you decide on the right prioritization of features, manage available resources, meet deadlines and ensure a great product
- Improvements – you enhance our product over time, ensure a stable and bug-free service
- This is a start-up – don’t expect all tasks to be clearly outlined but we’ve done it before
Requirements:
- University degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, economics, statistics, math, physics or a related field of study
- Job experience as product manager – at least 3 years, preferably in a SaaS business
- Start-up experience
- Passion for easy to use products – UI/UX are central to Smart Host
- Experience with agile project management techniques (e.g. Kanban, Scrum)
- Basic technical understanding of complex database problems and predictive analytics
- Well structured, able to work under (time) pressure
- Data-driven personality
- Superb communication skills, full working proficiency in German and English, ideally Italian too
- High motivation, reliability and flexibility
- Passion for travel and tourism
