Product Manager

Teacher Dashboard is an app which works with Microsoft Office365 to help teachers optimize homework management. Started a few years ago, we are a small team based in Islington, with dreams to improve teachers lives by providing simple, affordable, easy to use tools tackling teachers’ biggest challenges. We are looking for an energetic and collaborative product manager to work closely with our users and our team to help us through the next stage of the product’s evolution and beyond.

What you’ll do;

  • Be responsible for regular review, prioritisation and communication of the roadmap
  • Build relationships with users and customers to analyze their workflow and understand their needs to inform the roadmap
  • Capture requirements and needs in user stories, flow diagrams and wireframes
  • Ensure product process is firmly based on a user centred approach and appropriate user testing and customer development work is regularly performed
  • Have an excellent understanding of the metrics that need to be tracked and will regularly review and communicate these to the team and use them to inform product development
  • Work together with the team to determine the strategy and vision

Requirements;

  • 1+ years of product management, user experience design or product owner experience OR Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in relevant subject area
  • Have a creative and entrepreneurial spirit and consider yourself a strong operational thinker and self-starter
  • Empathy for user problems, and an ability to distill insights into the right product answer
  • Strong analytical ability and shown process of data-validated, hypothesis-driven, experiment-tested decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and connect the vision to the daily work
  • Strong team ethic and servant leadership approach
  • Thirst for knowledge and ability to learn fast and manage your personal development

Ideal Knowledge / Experience

  • Lean Startup methodology, User Centred Design, Customer Development
  • Engaging with clients, customers and/or users – either in a research or support role
  • Prototyping / design tools such as Sketch, Invision, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Balsamiq etc.
  • Analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Kiss Metrics, Amplitude etc
  • Experience or understanding of the Education sector
