Head of Video (Product Lead)

We are A Million Ads. Our technology personalises digital audio advertising by combining creativity in the production process with a tech platform that, powered by data, delivers the best ad at the right time for each user. Think Spotify ads that know your name, or Classic FM ads on your Sonos that know if it’s raining outside! Our ads are more context-aware and relevant to the listener, and so perform a lot better.

In just over 3 years, we have delivered over 130 campaigns across Europe for brands including Deliveroo, Adidas, Coca-Cola, TUI, Johnson & Johnson, British Gas, Nissan, Dyson, CoOp, British Airways and L’Oreal, are working with four of the six major advertising agencies and have partnerships with Global Radio’s DAX, Spotify and Pandora (the world’s largest ad-funded music streaming service).

Today we deploy our personalisation engine across music streaming, internet radio and podcasting services and are now extending that capability across many other channels, starting with video.

About the role:

Extending into video connects us to the biggest inventory sources and significantly greater market scale. We are building an experienced video product team, who will be responsible for launching an MVP within the next 3 months.

Our first hire will be a Head of Video who will help us to launch the MVP – and then further developments of our video solution. You will be responsible for understanding the product/market fit, helping to generate demand for the solution and helping the engineering team to develop the product in-line with market expectations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the engineering team to develop the product according to the market need
  • Build excitement and interest from the buy side – sell the solution!
  • Line up beta clients and generate case studies, effectiveness research etc.
  • Engage the existing video supply chain and present our solution e.g Channel 4, ITV, Sky, YouTube, Vimeo etc.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for personalised video advertising
  • Partner with internal Account Management team to explore cross-sell opportunities within existing client relationships

Our ideal candidate:

We’re looking for applicants with proven experience within the video advertising sector. It’s important that you can demonstrate success in taking new products to market and can operate within an independent role, whilst wearing various hats.

This is a hybrid role which requires someone with strong Product and Sales experience. You will be client facing, but will also need to have in-depth conversations with our software engineering team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also vital.
