You will be responsible for co-ordinating the operation, support, maintenance and improvement of a business critical technology infrastructure, including video, Wi-Fi and in court evidence presentation services. Her Majesties Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) operates one of the largest secure video networks in Europe which provides video services enabling 140,000 court hearings each year.
You will be responsible to the users which consist of members of the public, HMCTS and judiciary staff and a wide variety of agencies and organisations that all work in a digital courtroom.
Person Specification
We’re looking for someone who has impressive product management and/or Delivery skills at management level, with expertise in infrastructure, preferably from running a national scale organisation service. You will be an individual who likes working in a delivery focused environment with multi-disciplinary teams and has worked at management level.
You will have strong communication and relationship building skills and a highly collaborative team player approach as well as the ability to interact with senior stakeholders and manage feedback from multiple stakeholder groups.
You will be someone who takes pride in representing users and enjoys the challenge of promoting the infrastructure services you are working on.

Key responsibilities
Lead the management and control of the digital and technology assets, resources, subscriptions and calendar of activities needed to keep the infrastructure operating efficiently and effectively.
Accountable for all aspects of the digital/technology live service support and improvement for the infrastructure (enabled by the product) delivered to the user.
Overseeing that operational methods, procedures, facilities and tools are established, reviewed and improved continuously, for all aspects of the digital and technology assets;
Providing leadership to the team and coordination of the multiple providers and suppliers involved in delivering products and services on the infrastructure service, both internal and external.
Leading analysis and understanding how to develop the infrastructure to best serve the user’s needs.
Responsible and accountable for any necessary communications about all aspects of operating and developing their infrastructure, as part of an end-to-end service delivered to HMCTS users.
Leads investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing processes, driving the collection of information and creation of recommendations for improvements.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate
Previous experience and/or knowledge of leading and managing technology infrastructure services, preferably at a national scale.
A proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams to deliver agreed goals and objectives in a delivery and operationally focussed role
The capability to take ownership of, and improve systems and structures to deliver with more streamlined resources.
Previous experience of taking managed risks and overcoming the challenges of difficult/complex changes.
Experience of engagement with senior management and stakeholders, representing the work of your team and demonstrating its contribution to overall organisation goals.
The ability to recognise patterns and trends in a wide range of evidence/data and draw key conclusions.
