Product Owner/Product Manager

Totaljobs Group, the UK’s largest and fastest growing online recruitment advertising business is looking for a collaborative Product Manager to join its dynamic and innovative Product team.

Working with an Agile technology team and a close-knit community of ambitious and driven specialists, you will be responsible for developing and delivering projects and programmes of work in line with the Group’s strategic objectives. There will be the opportunity to work across the whole of the product lifecycle and to have input into the shape of our product roadmap, including local ownership of your own programme.

You will report to one of our Heads of Product Management and work closely with our Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Product & Traffic Director, who set our strategy and agree Product Roadmaps.

Your role will support the creation of a long term view of product development for jobseeker, recruiter and back office services across desktop, mobile and tablet whilst being pragmatic enough to realise value early through our highly effective agile delivery teams.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.To have a complete understanding of Totaljobs Group business and strategy across all brands and functions.
2.To assist with developing and promoting a long term vision for assigned product areas.
3.Utilise data, customer feedback and competitor/market analysis to build a product roadmap.
4.Demonstrate a deep understanding of relative value for work items and ensure that product development is prioritised accordingly.
5.Work with delivery teams to realise the value of development early and make decisions based on feedback.
6.Manage communication and business implementation plans with various stakeholders.
7.Deliver market leading User Experience working with the UX Team, design and other subject matter experts.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Strategy and delivery
•To develop a clear long term vision of the product area that is closely aligned with the TJG long term vision and business goals.
•Work with other interested parties to ensure that new development meets the needs of the business.
•To communicate decisions, direction and priority clearly to the team.
•To communicate clearly the objectives and success criteria for new developments and then work with the scrum team to ensure these are met.
•To develop a clear long term vision of the product area that is closely aligned with the TJG long term vision and business goals.
•Continue to monitor the performance of assigned product area to understand the success of changes made and inform future decisions.

Relative value and prioritisation
•Determine measures of value around product development.
•Utilise metrics and analytical skill to make informed decisions and adapt approach.
•Create processes and mechanisms to understand actual and predicted value of product development.
•Understand relative value in determining and prioritising product development.

Communication and cross-functional working
•Motivating and building cohesion between various TJG stakeholders and other experts who can contribute to the achievement’s of TJG product requirements.
•Collaborate with the team and key stakeholders to ensure effective business implementation.
•Lead delivery of Go To Market plans in line with TJG frameworks and collaborate on execution with the marketing team.
•Create an innovative environment to capture appropriate ideas and feed into the product assessment process.
•Ensure buy in from teams and all key stakeholders to the product roadmap.
•Track the performance of completed development after release and feedback to relevant stakeholders.

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Product management experience.
•Experience in developing online products in the B2C or C2C markets.
•High levels of enthusiasm and drive.
•Influencing and negotiation skills – ability to manage expectations.
•Confident and tenacious with senior stakeholders and technical staff.
•Understanding of the full project lifecycle from idea creation to implementation.
•Experience of using data and customer feedback to inform decisions.
•Experience of working with Design/UX/Technology teams to turn product requirements into solutions that meet a customers needs.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Experience of working with Agile development teams.
•Experience of delivering complex initiatives through iterative development cycles.
•An understanding of the recruitment market would be advantageous.
