Industry Sr. Product Marketing Manager – Professional Services

Come join the Industry Product Marketing team at Workday!  This is an exciting opportunity to be a key hire on a new team that will position Workday’s solutions to our most important industries.    We are actively looking for an outstanding Senior Product Marketing Manager for the Professional Services Industry. Responsibilities for this role include analyzing target markets and adjacencies, discovering and defining industry challenges, developing differentiated messaging and positioning, and creating compelling content and assets to drive demand and enable the sales organization.

The ideal candidate will have deep industry expertise in Professional Services, experience in enterprise applications, and the ability to build trust with sales, product strategy, and other go-to-market professionals.

You must be able to understand customer needs in depth within key verticals and translate these into concrete business benefits that resonate with business and technology buyers. Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and graphic – are also required.

 About the role:

Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to effectively segment target markets

Assimilate information from customers, company executives, sales teams, client services, and industry sources to develop and effectively communicate Workday’s vertical value propositions

Partner with Industry Go-to-Market Advisors and Industry Product Strategy to set industry strategies, develop topical themes and materials of interest to enterprise software buyers

Support Workday’s marketing initiatives, including: influencer relations; website strategy and online advertising; trade show and conferences; industry briefs; webinar development, etc.

In close collaboration with peers in the corporate & product marketing teams, craft product collateral through an industry lens, including buyer personas, white papers, website content, data sheets and presentations to support Workday’s outbound communication, demand generation, and sales efforts

Support focused industry go-to-market sales plays with compelling content

Support sales & presales with focused training and sales artifacts (battlecards, FAQs, positioning guides, objection handling)

Represent Workday at industry-focused trade shows and events, as needed

About you:

 Passion for technology, with prior experience in back office systems in Professional Services

Experience working across functions and gaining alignment across teams

Strong influencer and project management skills. Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Related product marketing, industry marketing, product management, or solution consulting experience, with a proven track record of successfully marketing enterprise applications

Must love to work in a collaborative, fast moving environment.  Objectivity and openness to others’ views and continuously builds a positive team spirit

Bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus

Ability to accommodate moderate business travel (up to 25%)
