ROLI is looking for a talented Product Experience Designer to create and build our high-end music-making software products.
As a key member of our Product Team, you will have a fundamental understanding of and passion for music-making, workflows and complex software development. You will have demonstrable experience translating conceptual product ideas into beautiful and functional designs and crafting golden path experiences.

What you’ll do:
- Translate business challenges and requirements into concepts of design and UX for a spectrum of users, from professional to beginner. Using a simplified approach you will create a UX journey which offers depth that professionals will enjoy and beginners will engage with
- Design products for both mobile and desktop platforms
- Use customer insights including statistics, support feedback, surveys, analytics etc. to inform design direction
- Develop and deliver wireframes, visual mock ups and user flows that effectively communicate and validate design vision and user interaction
- Present UX and design work back to stakeholders and manage through from approval to execution
- Collaborate with software developers/engineers and other designers to develop innovative music-making/sound design software products
- Work with a Scrum Development Team to implement and refine designs
- Support the Product Management Team and design leaders to define product vision
- Establish and promote quality design, best practices and standards in software
What you’ll need:
- Significant hands-on experience and a proven track record with implemented features in a software product design role
- Demonstrable UX and UI design skills with a strong portfolio
- A background in metrics and understanding data insights
- Proficiency in Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, other wireframing and prototyping tools
- Knowledge and experience in complex software development
- Excellent communication skills, especially in presenting designs, flawless written English
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest music software trends, techniques, and technologies
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, with the ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
Bonus Points:
- Good understanding of music-making and sound design workflow
- Experience in DAW or sound design software design
- A background in Game Design (Gamification)
- Pair/team design experience
- Experience using audio software with understanding of common workflows to play and make music
