We are looking for a strong product owner with a specialty in data and analytics technology and specifically A/B and multivariate testing applications. The role will own the requirements, roadmap and quality of all testing related capabilities. The will be directly accountable for enabling toolsets and capabilities allowing for a myriad of tests to be completed at one time by business units, analysts, UX Product and Design teams. This extends to building out scheduling capabilities, progress and analytical reporting, conflict resolution, statistical sampling methodologies, historical referencing and archiving, batch and real-time allocations, integration with optimization and targeting tools, short-term and long term testing time frames, and other features which help to ingrain testing and a data-driven culture into DSS.
The Data Products team is a technical group within the larger Data organization at Disney Streaming Services. It works closely with analytics and data scientists as well as Product and Technology teams to support growth with Data. Testing capabilities will becritical to DSS’s operations and growth and this position will work closely with colleagues responsible for collecting, analyzing and distributing data and will be a key driver of transparency into customer behavior and business performance. Disney Streaming Services has offices in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area.
●Own the testing solution and work with other Product owners to ensure the solution is fully integrated into the product functionality and the end to end technology integration cycle
●Collaborate with engineering teams, data analysts and data scientists to design and build testing solutions and workflows
●Analyze existing business, operational, and engineering processes to implement and improve systems to support testing requirements or integrate where necessary
●Grow knowledge and expertise in industry standards, technologies, partner and competitor companies’ strategies
●Contribute to defining desired product functionality and work with development and QA teams to ensure successful delivery
●Lead the approach to assess technical feasibility, implementation approach, deployment strategies, and QA efforts
●Work with project partners to define project scope and objectives, communicating requirements to engineering teams
●Assist in estimation and management of project budgets and cross-team resource allocation
- 6+ years of direct experience in product management and/or software delivery related to testing and optimization.
- Ideally, you have exposure to product management of applications across a wide variety of platforms including web, mobile devices, game consoles, and OTT video devices such as AppleTV, Roku, FireTV
- You have a basic understanding IP-based video delivery, including live video delivery and related analytics technology
- You are familiar with data and analytics technology vendors and ecosystems
- You have excellent written and oral communication skills
- You are able to assist in coordinating multiple projects at a time
- You’re an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- You have an ability to make quick decisions to solve complex technical and operational challenges
