We are a well-funded startup with an outsourced dedicated technology team. As we make our first steps into the marketplace we are now looking to start to bring our technology team in-house – starting with a Product Manager – you will be working alongside Simon, the companies CEO playing a pivotal role in owning the product and managing its development from the start.
About you
You’re an experienced Product Manager who is commercially focused and loves solving problems. You will be comfortable working with the Transport Managers and Drivers to continually improve the product. You will also be comfortable working with the Connected2 national commercial sales team to create processes to help information gather, validate, test and implement new ideas that come through from our clients.
In the next 12 months
- You will grow with the business, working with the CEO and CTO to make commercial decisions on what part of the outsourced tech team we should bring in-house as well the areas we should continue to increase
- You will understand the pain points of our customers (both Drivers and Hauliers) and have to lead the validation, design and implantation of products that our costumers love
- You will have created internal processes to continually stresses test our product to help identify and troubleshoot issues before they happen
- You will be an integral part of the team, advising the business on the capabilities, future needs and timelines of the product
- You will have travelled the UK meeting the senior management teams of the largest national and international hauliers and run multiple feedback workshops with the driving community
Requirements – You should have
- 2+ years experience in Product Management
- Great at communicating decisions as well as giving and taking feedback
- Comfortable talking to customers, testing ideas quickly and turning your findings into experiments and features
- Able to attain, understand, and review quantitative and qualitative data
- Experience turning business goals and user problems into roadmaps for the Dev team
- Some technical understanding. You can communicate effectively with Developers to understand constraints, tradeoffs and capabilities
- Experience of continually improving a product in a growing business
- Be willing to travel throughout the UK
