The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital and Creative Services, we are looking for a UX/UI Designer, Digital Experience with exceptional hands-on skills to join our global Marketing and Communications team. You will take ownership of UX and UI needs across our Altus Group domain which comprises multiple business groups, websites, landing pages, languages, and formats.

You will determine requirements, understand business and user needs, and create the designs based on your research and insights. You will own, contribute to, and maintain the Digital Style Guide, liaising with other developers in the company to support their projects and ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.

Who you are

You are a creative collaborator with a breadth of experience determining the parameters for and designing the UX for our B2B sites. You have a technical toolkit of graphic design software programs to bring your designs to life. You want to shift your focus and channel your skills as part of a global marketing team at a scaling organization; working autonomously to identify design problems and collaboratively to devise elegant solutions.

Our new UX/UI Designer, Digital Experience will:

Take a user-centered design approach. You will utilize quantitative and qualitative research to generate meaningful insights. You will  translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and rapid prototypes – optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces, leading to intuitive user experiences.

Measure. You will be part of the marketing team, contributing to campaign designs. You will take a project management approach to measuring the success of the campaign, conducting research and analysis, A/B testing and heat maps.

Collaborate and iterate. You will collaborate with the Global Marketing team, the dedicated Fullstack Developer,  and other stakeholders throughout the Company  to find solutions that address critical business challenges and ensure consistency in our digital brand. You will elicit needs and draw on user research and insights to create user journeys and user stories. You will test ideas with customers, iterating designs based on findings and feedback.

Our new UI/UX Designer, Digital Experience will have:

The experience. You have expertise working with internal and external clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet their needs and vision. You have a portfolio demonstrating your experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments, including:

Planning and conducting user research.
Engaging in product conversations and acting as a bridge between product, architect, and user.
Building out user stories, journey maps, mockups, and prototypes.
Conducting user testing and A/B testing.
Addressing heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.

The technical skills. You have expertise in standard design software such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Balsamiq, Axure, and prototyping tools such as Marvel, InVision, and UXPin.

The practical knowledge. You have experience in using UX best practices to design solutions, applying a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design. You can rapidly iterate designs and solutions intelligently and clearly communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to internal and external teams.

The communication. You are a relationship-builder and thrive in a collaborative environment, synthesizing abstract ideas into a concrete design, communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval. You are open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.

The passion. You are passionate about UX and other design and innovation areas, continuously researching and trying the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
