We seek an experienced and visionary Head of Product to lead product development initiatives and drive innovation in our Gamification Marketing platform. Working closely with the CEO and reporting to the founding team, you’ll guide the product’s trajectory and lead the team responsible for execution.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and executing our product strategy, managing the product management team (8 people), driving the vision together with the founders, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering best-in-class solutions that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth. Deep involvement and interaction with clients is essential to understand the market’s needs and further developing the product.
Main responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives. For these objectives, define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and make data-driven decisions to drive product innovation and differentiation and ensure the strategy is translated to OKRs.
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of product managers, designers, and developers to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the product organization.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform product strategy and drive the development of new features and enhancements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and customer success, to ensure alignment and drive successful product launches. Champion a customer-centric approach to product development and ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product decisions.
- Product Development Lifecycle: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. Drive the execution of product initiatives, prioritize resources, and ensure successful product delivery that meets quality standards and customer expectations.
- User Experience (UX) Design: Champion a user-centric product design and development approach. Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure an intuitive and seamless user experience across all product touchpoints. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve the product’s user experience continuously.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships and integration opportunities that enhance our product offerings and drive business growth. Negotiate partnership agreements and collaborate with partners to deliver integrated solutions that create value for our customers.
- Packaging and Pricing Strategy: Understand the company’s business strategy and market needs, and adjust product packaging and pricing accordingly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize revenue and align with customer value perceptions.
- Performance Measurement: Define key performance metrics and track product performance against business objectives. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on product roadmap progress, feature adoption, and customer satisfaction.
- Accountability: Be accountable for achieving key results and resolving significant product issues affecting company profitability.
Your skills and experience:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
10+ years of experience in product management or related roles within the technology industry, with a proven track record of successfully launching and scaling SaaS products. - Product Manager First: As a PM, you can get your hands dirty, building the playbook for your direct team.
- Technical Creativity: Demonstrated ability to think through complex challenges, understand business needs and outcomes, and creatively resolve them.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience leading and mentoring high-performing product teams.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to translate business goals into actionable product plans.
- Understanding of Gamification principles and experience in marketing technologies or related fields preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.
What you bring to the table:
- It would be a plus that you have some technical background and understand the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to independently own product strategy and execution in a highly technical and dynamic environment.
- You have delivered and optimized several successful products already.
- Strong product sense, user-centricity, and ability to drive ideation and wireframing with your product designer.
- Technical understanding gathered in a SaaS product environment.
- Languages spoken: English is a must, and German would be a plus.
