The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our Automotive Product team, preferably at our Chicago HQ office. This role will leverage product performance data to make data-driven decisions, inform enhancements & investments in core solutions, and deliver actionable insights to continuously improve customer experience and adoption.

This role sits at the intersection of data insights and product strategy, working with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for product improvements. You will proactively conduct analysis throughout the product development lifecycle, sizing opportunities, analyzing experiments, understanding customer behavior, developing and monitoring key metrics, and informing strategic decisions with data. Your work will directly impact our product roadmap and overall user experience.

This role will report directly to the Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Automotive Portfolio and will work closely with other Product Managers across the team. You will have direct visibility to senior leadership across our Product & Technology office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor product performance – monitor the performance of products over their lifecycle.  Identify patterns, trends, and insights to indicate how well a product performs in the market; subsequently monitor sales numbers to gauge adoption and customer satisfaction
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback – use data to understand customer perception of products. Conduct in-depth interviews with individual customers, facilitate focus groups, or even create surveys to collect feedback from larger customer segments in targeted campaigns to improve overall customer experience
  • Evaluate products and improve our value proposition – draw insights about products from data gathered.  Evaluate products to determine how they can be improved or updated.  Study competitors’ products (e.g., differentiators, quality, price point) to ensure our product holds up in the market
  • Create reports, visualizations, and actionable insights – create reports and presentations about data findings.  Use dashboards or other visuals to represent the data in a way other stakeholders easily understand.  Present the findings to senior leadership to justify product or investment recommendations
  • Conduct proactive and exploratory analysis – plan and conduct A/B tests leveraging tools such as Pendo or Conjointly to assess the impact of planned product enhancements
  • Collaborate on Product Strategy – work closely with the product management team to help define the product strategy and prioritize roadmaps based on gathered insights

Requirements:

  • This role is based out of our Chicago office. We have a hybrid workplace and prefer in-person collaboration over fully remote roles.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or relevant STEM majors)
  • 4-6 years experience as a Product Analyst or similar quantitative role (consulting included), with a focus on data analysis and product insights
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and statistical analysis through survey tools such as Conjointly or Qualtrics
  • Experience with product management tools such as Pendo or Aha! and CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and senior business leaders
  • A passion for product development and a customer-focused mindset
  • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and independent work
  • Hypothesis-driven attitude with an eagerness to learn
  • Note: familiarity or experience in insurance or automotive sectors preferred, but not required
