About the job

We’re seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Product Management to drive the future of Fleetio’s Marketplace, a rapidly growing solution that transforms how fleets manage external maintenance. Our Marketplace enables seamless communication with a vast network of maintenance shops, simplifies repair approvals, consolidated billing, and flexible payments.

In this critical role, you will shape the strategy, growth, and success of the Marketplace, focusing on adoption, supply/demand balance, GMV growth, defensibility, and multi-sided success. You will report to the VP of Product and collaborate across Fleetio’s leadership and teams, making a profound impact on Fleetio’s long-term growth and customer experience.

Your impact

  • Lead Marketplace Growth: Define and execute a compelling product vision and strategy, driving key metrics including adoption, GMV, customer satisfaction, revenue, associated ARR, and retention.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and grow a high performing team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Operations, Finance, Legal and other teams to deliver impactful solutions from ideation through to launch and iteration.
  • User-Centric Development: Deeply understand the needs of fleet customers and maintenance shops to drive experimentation, validation, iteration and innovation and create frictionless, scalable product experiences.
  • Drive Business Outcomes: Hold accountability for the success of our Marketplace solutions – contributing to business targets, pricing & packaging strategies, and new revenue streams while ensuring compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Marketplace Success: Ensure both supply and demand sides thrive by providing an optimal mix of value, price, selection, and quality.

Your experience

  • 10+ years in tech, with 4+ years leading marketplace initiatives.
  • Proven success building and scaling B2B marketplaces.
  • Expertise in leading and mentoring effective product teams.
  • Proven track record of driving features and solutions through the entire creative lifecycle, from discovery to launch and beyond.
  • Ability to define and own a differentiated, data-informed product vision, strategy, OKRs, goals, milestones, and roadmap.
  • Ability to navigate complex, cross-functional challenges and deliver high-impact outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a data-driven, results-oriented mindset.
  • Fantastic product sense and innate ability to spot opportunities for differentiation, expansion and zero-to-one innovation.
  • Driven to deliver a consistently remarkable experience and impact for customers, partners, and Fleetio.
  • Accountable for the impact of Marketplace initiatives and activities – from strategy, operations and product development, to sales, GTM, partnerships and team development.
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field.

Considered a plus

  • Understanding of the Fleet management industry.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS across different motions (self-serve and sales-assisted) and multiple segments — e.g. SMB, Mid Market, Enterprise, Partnerships.
  • Experience across web, mobile and real-world customer touch points.
