Sr. Product Manager

The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our product roadmap for Campus Store technology for Follett’s 1000 Brick-and-Mortar Campus Stores. Your role is critical in ensuring a seamless and optimized retail experience for our customers and store team members. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders as well as counterparts in design and engineering to deliver value to our customers and ultimately achieve the growth objectives for your area.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for your area that is aligned with company goals and market trends.
Product Roadmap: Define and prioritize your product development roadmap based on customer needs, market trends and business objectives. Collaborate with design and engineering to ensure alignment around scope, timing and resources.
Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation through release management, working closely with engineering to create user stories, defining development sprints and closely collaborating with engineers and designers through the entire development process.
Market Analysis: Regularly conduct competitive analysis to stay current with market trends, new technologies and identify opportunities/risks to current product strategy and roadmap
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including institutional administrators, instructors, students and partners to gather feedback, gain user context, identify pain points and opportunities
Product Launch: Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including enablement resources, training and customer-facing events
Product Performance: Define and track key metrics to measure the performance of your product area, assess features and continuously improve the product experience
Team Leadership: Mentor more junior product managers, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Promote continuous learning by bringing new concepts to the team.

Minimum Qualifications

·       6 years of product management experience, including directly working with design and engineering teams

·       Demonstrated track record of driving company growth through product development

·       Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, modern POS systems, and eCommerce fulfillment processes.

·       Strong data-centric approach, including experience using product analytics to inform decisions and facilitate experiments
