Chief Product Officer

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Chief Product Officer (CPO) will join as a key member of the leadership team and contribute significantly to our growth. Our business has a combination of SaaS and Fintech products, that sit at the heart of hotel operations and enable group level decision making. Our vision is that thought our connected suite of products, we will become the platform that enables hospitality to be more sustainable, profitable and customer centric.

Mews is going through significant growth, backed by a leading team of investors. Our company headcount has doubled to over 800 people since the start of 2022 and our Product department will be over 100 people by the end of 2023, across Product Management, Design and Content teams. It’s a global function, based in 10 locations, from Sydney to Montreal.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leverage on the founders’ expertise and vision to build a product portfolio strategy, roadmap and delivery plans.
Build and continually strengthen the product team, through performance management, development and investing your focus into recruiting top talent.
Build a strong Product department, optimize the current organization, putting in place best industry practices to increase creativity and efficiency.
Define the portfolio investment and commercial priorities in order to best fit the needs of our customers and business strategy.
Promote cross-functional team alignment with Technology, Commercial, Marketing and Finance to develop competitive and market leading products.
Enable the growth of Mews by understanding the requirements of our customers, developing solutions that enrich their experience and deploying them in an efficient manner.
Define the value proposition, develop business cases, evangelize on new features and needs
Communicate a clear vision on the Products’ capabilities, set the right level of expectations and convey the message across all Mews ecosystem as well as internally.
Align business objectives and goals with product constrains, define feature priorities.
Enhance the product lines, leverage technology to create new revenue streams, drive the launch of new offers (SaaS & Merchants)
Coherent and rational financial planning for your department and related costs.
REQUIREMENTS

Experience leading a high performing and distributed product management function in a remote/hybrid setting.
You have built and led diverse teams previously and are passionate about embedding those practices.
Previous experience delivering products that have either disrupted or caused a change within industry verticals, or enabled company growth
A background leading multiple product lines or a portfolio of products successfully.
Exposure to working in a high growth international environment.
Able to build internal communities, influence stakeholders and set an engaging vision for colleagues through compelling narratives and storytelling.
Able to utilise strong communication and cross-cultural interpersonal skills for working with a diverse workforce.
Effective and comfortable representing Mews and speaking at industry events.
Willingness to travel internationally as necessary to support job duties.
Preferred locations: Europe or US East Coast.
