The Role:

In this role, you will leverage millions of transactions generated across our platform in Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, and Argentina. As part of our global team, you will be instrumental in refining and executing the product strategy for RedInsights, our data platform that transforms data from our marketplace into actionable insights for FMCG brands and distributors. Your mission will be to guide the product through product-market fit discovery and then evolve it into a strategic AI-driven co-pilot for our clients, aiding them in driving efficiency and profitability within their businesses.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Customer and Market Engagement: Act as the customer advocate, aligning product development with customer needs and market expectations in Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, and Argentina.
  • Product Strategy Development: Craft a product strategy that balances the needs of a diverse customer base with business objectives, mapping out a clear roadmap from vision to execution.
  • Discovery and Validation: Engage in thorough discovery to formulate product hypotheses and validate these through market research and direct feedback, identifying potential risks and strategies to address them.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and local teams to align the product development with strategic business goals
  • Product Execution: Manage feature specification, customer journeys, user stories and product delivery, employing agile practices to ensure timely and responsive product iteration.
  • Roadmapping and Prioritisation: Develop a roadmap delivering the most business and user value within resourcing and technical constraints. Manage ongoing strategic and tactical prioritisation as circumstances change.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Coordinate with local teams to develop Go-to-Market plans, ensuring continuous product feedback and iteration based on market response.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience working with insights, analytics and data product management
  • Proven ability in customer/market research and product-market fit discovery in a 0-1 or new vertical environment
  • Experience with conceiving and driving the product strategy with support from senior management
  • Solid experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Agile project management tools
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across Product, Data, Sales, Marketing and GTM
  • Experience in or understanding of the FMCG sector is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  • Technical agility, with a willingness to engage with new tools and technologies, including platforms like Magento and VTEX for eCommerce insights, is a plus.
  • An entrepreneurial, ‘get things done’ attitude, comfortable in early-stage, evolving environments, and skilled in leading products from ideation to scale
