UK/Europe (Hybrid London or Remote)
As the leader in Data Creation, Snowplow empowers 1000’s of organizations, including Strava, Autotrader, and Flickr, to purposefully create behavioral data to unlock transformative AI and advanced analytics directly from their warehouse, lake, or in a real-time stream.
Following our $40 million in Series B funding in June 2022 led by global venture capital firm, NEA, whose prior investments include Databricks, Cloudflare, and DataRobot, we are on the lookout for creative and innovative individuals to help us shape our next chapter.
We have, uniquely, built the capability to deploy, run, and maintain 1000s of real-time data pipelines in our customer’s own VPNs in their own cloud (AWS and GCP) environments. This unique capability powers our private SaaS deployment model, which enables us to provide our customers with end-to-end processing of their data in their own cloud. We are also currently building the capability to run those pipelines in our own cloud, so that we can offer lower cost SKUs based on a more traditional public SaaS model.
We provide our customers with a SaaS management console through which they can:
∙Setup and configure their pipelines and data warehouses
∙Monitor the volume of events flowing through the pipeline
∙Investigate any failed events
∙Generally design and manage their created data products.
Customers can also choose to interact directly with the suite of APIs on top of which the management console is built.
We are looking for a Product Manager that, together with the Engineering Manager, will lead the unit responsible for developing the functionality in the console to help our customers better monitor and manage their infrastructure. You will build out and execute the roadmap for this service, including leading on the development of improved onboarding flows and enhanced self-service capabilities, and potentially new developer tooling for those customers that prefer to work directly with our APIs.
What you’ll be doing
Jointly setting direction for the unit: Formulate, maintain, and communicate product strategies and feature roadmaps for the cross-functional unit
Prioritising engineering activities: Collaboratively prepare and communicate OKRs for the unit to support the prioritization of deliverables
Defining the experience: Working with colleagues in product design and user research to deliver a leading user/developer experience
Listen to customers: Spend time with customers of all sizes to understand their requirements and the challenges they face using the console and its APIs
Collaborating with other teams: Work closely with the product portfolio manager, product marketing managers, and other teams across Snowplow to maintain the value proposition of our products
Promoting innovation: Maintain a continuous focus on valuable product improvements within your unit through applied research and experimentation
Evangelizing your products: Build an awareness and understanding of your products with internal and external stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
∙ Two years plus of proven experience in product management, bonus points for working with complex cloud-based services for B2B customers
∙ Knowledge of UX/UI best practices for web application development
∙ Experience with using cloud infrastructure and online API development
∙ Comfortable delivering results with fully-remote geographically-distributed engineering teams
∙ Strong communication skills to ensure clear messaging to diverse internal teams
∙ Track record of using data to inform your decisions and build consensus.
