Do you want to use your Service Design skills to fight against poverty in the UK? We are looking for a Service Designer to work with us on our mission to design inclusive and accessible products and services.

One in five people among us, over 14 million people in total across the UK, are unable to thrive because of a lack of money. Turn2us exists to help people struggling to make ends meet. We do this by providing information and tools to enable people to increase their income through benefits, grants and other support.

Our research has highlighted people who use our services often have a variety of needs and challenges. As the Service Designer you will work across the organisation to design and deliver unified and efficient systems and products in a human centred way. You will incorporate public facing and internal processes, communication and components of our services to improve the quality and delivery. You will enable us to provide a joined-up, end-to-end service and delivery for the people we exist for.

The Service Designer sits within the Digital & Design Team, working collaboratively across the organisation with Product Owners and service delivery teams. We work in co-production alongside those who have experienced not having enough money to live on to define and design the services we deliver. If you are a Service Designer who is looking to have an impact, we’d really like to meet you.

Turn2us is a national charity tackling poverty and the structural causes of poverty. We work with co-producers and partners to provide people in financial crisis with the means and agency to get back on their feet, build resilience, move forward with their lives and thrive.

Turn2us is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from members of all communities. It is committed to equality of opportunity, inclusion and diversity. We encourage and welcome applications from all parts of the community regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.

Turn2us wants to enable an environment where everyone is kept safe from harm and can thrive. We are committed to safeguarding everyone involved in our charity and the work we do. You can read a safeguarding policy on the Turn2us website.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are contractually required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month. Some roles may be required to be in the office more often than this and this will be agreed with the hiring manager upon starting at Turn2us.
