The Role:

The Associate Product Manager is a self-starter with a passion for music, consumer electronics, product marketing, and product management. This role is an integral member of the Product Development team, responsible for managing the product portfolio, defining product requirements, contributing to product strategy, and identifying key consumer, market, and technology trends to fuel innovation and growth. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in product management or a related field, preferably within the consumer electronics or consumer goods industry.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Lead in the product lifecycle management process from concept to end-of-life.

·         Ensure product requirements, specifications, setup information, features, branded technologies and positioning are accurately documented and shared with sales, operations, technical support, and marketing to ensure a smooth go-to-market process for new products.

·         Own product sample distribution and management, ensuring the sales and marketing teams receive necessary product samples and feedback is properly tracked to inform product improvements and future development.

·         Support beta programs by coordinating feedback collection and working with cross-functional teams to refine product performance before launch.

·         Collaborate with development and design teams to ensure high-quality product execution and alignment with business goals.

·         Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends and opportunities.

·         Collaborate with operations, sales and marketing on new product launches and gather insights to refine product strategies.

·         Manage product master data maintenance in Victrola enterprise systems and collaborate with Commercial Operations on product data setup with customers and external partners.

·         Assist with administration and execution of new product planning and customer specific programs including presentations, business cases, product requirements documents (PRD) and any other necessary documentation.

Skills/Abilities:

·         Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, from development to market launch.

·         Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

·         Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment.

·         Ability to translate technical product details into user-friendly features and messaging.

·         Familiarity with Stage-Gate, Agile, and other product development methodologies.

·         Proficiency in MS Office/365, project management tools, and product development systems.

·         Experience working with Smartsheet, Asana, and SAP S/4HANA a plus.

·         Knowledge of consumer wireless and audio technologies is preferred.

·         Able to travel to support customer presentations, trade shows (setup and presentations) and company events.

·         Able to work in a hybrid environment with 2-3 days/week in the Denver, CO office

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Marketing or related field. Equivalent working experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or a related role, preferably within consumer electronics or consumer goods.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners, with a strong understanding of product development processes.
