Full-Time Product Manager

Heist Studios – Posted by cheryl@heist-studios.com England, United Kingdom

Job Description

Role: Product Manager, Heist Studios

Reporting to: VP Marketing

Location: Clerkenwell, London

About Heist

We are one of the UK’s fastest growing DTC businesses and frankly – the only one in the world that’s using real science to engineer better underwear.  With a current team of 23 based in London we have ambitious plans for international growth.

Unimpressed with how the underwear industry portrayed women, we assembled a team of the most celebrated (and mischievous) garment innovators to take it on. By looking at how people move, actually move, we make garments that are break-through in their design, manufacturing techniques and materials.  For our first product, we reinvented the humble pair of tights.  Then, we took on shapewear.

We’re backed by some of the biggest investors in fashion and technology, and on a busy day, we can sell a pair of tights every 15 seconds. Even our tube adverts caused a scandal. Most importantly, we have tens of thousands of customers who genuinely love Heist and the products we develop and ship around the world.

Your responsibilities

As Product Manager, you will optimise and scale our web presence by improving usability and content.  Customer experience is core to our business and you’ll continually improve the web experience of our customers with a focus on boosting our conversion rate and revenue per user.

Being more specific, your role will focus on:

  • Develop a product strategy which aligns with Heist’s OKRs and business strategy and covers both front end and back end requirements
  • Define OKRs and metrics to measure impact and track progress against the product strategy
  • Communicate the product strategy to ensure understanding and alignment across the marketing, technology, innovation and operations teams.
  • Drive improvements to the user experience across our websites with the aim to increase conversion rates and revenue per session.
  • Take an analytical approach to website improvement. Use data, from our analytics tools and customer research, to identify friction points for our customers or other potential business opportunities.
  • Work in partnership with our technology, marketing and customer service teams on new feature releases and user experience improvements.
  • Run a user research project to continually measure and engage with customers and potential customers, to understand and measure their product experience and purchasing drivers.
  • Work with the engineering team as they deliver your features and/or improvements through agile sprints.
  • Identify potential experiments (AB or Multivariate tests) that can be run with the product – and managing these from initial ideas, through to design, launch and sharing insights across the team.  You’ll be helping us to scale and increase the velocity of testing we do across all areas of our business.

Your experience

We firmly believe extraordinary people come from a wide range of backgrounds, but we would expect our Product Manager to demonstrate most of these:

  • 4+ years product management experience
  • 2+ years working with an ecommerce platform (e.g. shopify, Bigcommerce, etc.)
  • 2+ years experience with tracking and reporting using Google Analytics
  • 1+ years managing or delivering a Conversion Rate Optimisation or Experimentation programme
  • 1+ years experience with designing, implementing and measuring A/B and Multivariate tests
  • Capacity for analytical and data-driven thinking
  • Planning, time management, prioritisation & multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate vital information
  • Critical thinking and problem solving

You

We are a diverse bunch of people at Heist. That said, there are some characteristics we always look for:

  • You deeply care about Heist’s mission; you have a desire to build something iconic, that will disrupt an industry, and women’s lives.
  • You thrive on challenge and change; you naturally gravitate to the hardest questions first and love thinking differently to solve them.
  • You’re biased towards action and you’re happiest when you’re ‘getting stuff done’.
  • You’re open, positive & straightforward. You’re not afraid to stand up for your convictions, even when it’s hard to do so.
  • You delight in your colleagues’ successes and thrive on your failures; you grasp any opportunity for learning and constantly seek to improve.
