Full-Time Senior/Lead Product Owner (f/m/d)

Stryber GmbH – Posted by Talent@Stryber München, Bayern, Germany

Job Description

We are Stryber – the largest independent corporate venture builder in the DACH region. We help our clients launch new digital ventures from scratch (and fix the strategy behind it) as well as launch our own ventures by building web/mobile prototypes and MVPs to test and iterate business ideas quickly in the market. Later, we scale and grow the most promising ones to let them become leading solutions in their market. Simple click-dummies, rapid MVPs, and sophisticated deep-tech (SaaS) solutions, we have a variety of start-up projects ahead of us in several exciting verticals, such as FinTech, PropTech, Digital Health, Food & Beverage or MarTech.

At Stryber you can expect a no bullshit, down to earth, yet high caliber work environment. You will be part of the Stryber family – a young and dynamic team that is highly motivated to create impact. As Senior/Lead Product Owner you will:

  • Work closely with our Venture Architects to build several new startups per year from the ground up and make a positive impact on people’s lives
  • Work closely with our UI/UX designers and remote engineering team to deliver features with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
  • Clarify requirements, answer questions from developers, and write detailed user stories
  • Own, control, and prioritise a well structured product backlog
  • Craft excellent product visions and roadmaps, always thinking ahead of “what comes next” for the product by foreseeing potential challenges and avoiding stuck projects
  • Lead SCRUM/KANBAN meetings, including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos
  • Continuously improve development processes and methodologies and ensure synergies, templates, and best practices across projects by sharing knowledge and properly documenting
  • Support and guide our Junior Product Owners
  • As Lead Product Owner coach, guide, develop and motivate your team of 3-5 Junior to Senior Product Owners as well as hire new team members

You bring with you:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Business Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years proven work experience in product management and agile methodologies
  • Previous work experience in a startup
  • Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams and managing different stakeholders’ expectations
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Highly structured, thorough working style and getting-things-done attitude
  • The ability to keep calm in turbulent, time-critical situations and manage multiple projects
  • Passion for building products that customers love
  • Excellent leadership skills

How to Apply

We offer you:
  • Attractive compensation based on your performance
  • Fame and glory for what you will have helped build
  • Attractive office in the middle of Munich - become part of the inspiring WeWork community, which includes perks like free beer/coffee/tea/water, table soccer, table tennis, regular events, and engaging with a great community of inspiring people
  • A great remote culture, which allows you to be very flexible; if you prefer to work from sunny beaches or cool mountains from time to time, feel free - just be prepared to get some jealous messages from us on Slack or to receive even more awesome photos in return
  • Joint Work-From-X weeks
  • A highly dynamic and energetic environment
  • “Move fast & break things” culture
